This year, students will work with two sets of words for spelling instruction.

Five Word Wall Words will be introduced and posted in the classroom each week.  Students will be expected to know how to spell these words correctly 100% of the time.  They will be quizzed on the new words at the end of each week.  There will also be tests on the entire word wall (old and new words) periodically.

A second list of Pattern Words will be also given to students each week.  Students will sort these words according to letter patterns.  They will be expected to use the patterns to spell words from the list as well as other words that use the same pattern.
