BEE
BOOKS
What is a BEE Book?

A BEE Book is a special binder that is given to every
student in my class on the first day of school. This
binder provides a way for parents and teachers to
communicate easily about school, and helps to build
organization skills and responsibility in students. It
helps them to
Bring Everything Every day!

What is kept in it?
|
Homework
&
Return to School
|
The left pocket of the binder
holds homework, papers to sign and return,
book order envelopes, lunch account
envelopes, fundraisers, permission slips,
notes to the school nurse, or anything that
needs to be turned in at school. |
|
Assignment Book |
Every year, our PTO provides
an assignment book for each student. This
will be kept in the ring portion of the BEE
Book. Students are required to fill in
their daily homework, and any notes or
reminders the teacher has written for them
to copy. There is also a designated space
on each page for parents and teachers to
make notes to each other. Assignment books
are checked daily! |
|
Code of Conduct
&
Feedback Calendar |
The next thing in the binder
is a sheet protector that holds our
classroom rules and a feedback calendar.
Parents are asked to sign these calendars at
the end of each week. A new feedback
calendar will be placed here each month. |
|
Lunch Menu
&
Word Wall |
The next sheet protector will
have our monthly lunch menu and a copy of
the current word wall for students to use
when completing homework. Word Wall words
must be spelled with 100% accuracy on all
assignments – including homework! |
|
Graded Work
&
Keep at Home
|
The back pocket will contain
graded work that can be kept at home,
notices from the office or the PTO, and
other things that do not need to be
returned. This pocket MUST be emptied every
night. |

How to Make Your BEE Book Work:
|
1. Bring your BEE Book to
school every morning, and take it home every
afternoon.
2. Keep your BEE Book neat,
organized, and looking like new.
3. Do not remove anything
from your BEE Book until you are supposed
to.
4. Put everything exactly
where you are told to put it in the BEE
Book. |
