I am so glad that I chose to become

It is a joy and a privilege to guide students to think,

Through them and alongside them, I am constantly
learning, too! My goal is to make each year
as successful and memorable as possible for my students.

My Education
I grew up in
Washington Township, where I attended Birches School from kindergarten
through sixth grade. Then, I went on to Washington Township Middle
School and WTHS. My bachelor's degree in
Elementary Education is from Rowan University. I also have a master's
degree in Reading.

The first several years of my teaching career were at
Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. I began as a
second grade teacher, then moved on to fourth grade.
My last assignment there was as the Basic Skills Reading
Teacher, where I worked with children in grades 2
through 5. After a few years, I realized that I
preferred teaching in the classroom with my "own" group
of children. I really missed teaching creative
lessons in math,
science, and social studies, too!
I currently teach
third grade at Birches Elementary School, where I was once a student.
It's a terrific school, and I am proud to be a part of it. My life has truly come full circle!
